Farming since 1886

Aurora Park Farms is a generational Australian family farming enterprise located in the Central West of New South Wales. Our purpose is to contribute to a resilient future for Australian agriculture while leaving the land better for the generations that follow.

Our History

The Williamson family's connection to the Tullamore/Peak Hill district began in 1886 when James and Margaret Williamson took up previously unsettled land in the north-west of the district.

Together, they secured four holdings of 2,560 acres. Under the land tenure arrangements of the time, each property comprised 640 acres of Conditional Purchase and 1,920 acres of Conditional Lease. As legislation required a resident on each holding, the Warge Rock homestead was strategically constructed at the intersection of the four properties, allowing the family to meet these obligations while establishing their farming enterprise.

Through hard work, determination and a commitment to the land, James Williamson built a farming legacy that would span generations. By the time of his death in 1912, he had established each of his five sons on neighbouring properties:

• Warge Rock – Gordon Williamson
• Wilga Park – James Blackwood Williamson
• Glenconnor – Robert John Williamson
• Aurora Park – Joseph Henry ("Harry") Williamson
• Genaren – purchased for Simpson Morrison Williamson in 1909

While Warge Rock was the original family holding, Aurora Park became the home of Harry Williamson and would remain at the heart of the family's story for generations to come.

In 1936, Jim and Queenie Williamson took over Aurora Park, continuing the family's stewardship of the land. Ian and Jenny Williamson followed in 1978, further building the enterprise and strengthening its place within the local community.

Today, Aurora Park remains proudly family owned and operated. In 2026, the property is home to Felicity Williamson and her partner Michael, representing the latest generation to continue the Williamson family's enduring connection to the land.

For more than 140 years, the family has adapted to changing seasons, markets and challenges while remaining committed to responsible land management, quality agricultural production and the prosperity of regional Australia.

Aurora Park Farms continues that tradition today through the production of premium wool, quality lamb and broadacre crops, combining generations of experience with a commitment to innovation, sustainability and the future of Australian agriculture.

Elite Wool

Wool has been part of the Aurora Park story for generations. Through careful ewe selection, flock classing and a commitment to animal welfare and land stewardship, we produce quality Merino wool valued for its consistency and performance. Our breeding program focuses on productive, heavy-cutting ewes that are well suited to local conditions.

Prime Lamb

Raised on natural and improved pastures our lamb reflects our care for the land and a commitment to quality livestock production. Aurora Park Farms is also the home of Outback Lamb, our award-winning value-added lamb brand, created to showcase the quality, provenance and versatility of Australian lamb.

Quality Grain

Our broadacre cropping program produces quality cereals while supporting the long-term productivity of our farming system. Through careful management of soils, inputs and seasonal conditions, our crops provide grain for domestic and export markets, as well as feed for our own livestock enterprises.

Tradition with Purpose

Since 1886, we have combined generations of farming knowledge with responsible land stewardship, working to ensure our soils, landscapes and communities remain productive for generations to come.
